Man United Concerned Over Rooney Injury Against Bayern Munchen

Injuries could be Bayern Munich's key concern when it comes to beating Manchester United in the Champions League as the pair meet again. With a place in the semi finals at stake, there will be no quarter given by either team. The big prize awaits both teams as they always measure success not only on domestic titles but also what they can achieve in Europe. There are also past scores that will be on the agenda with the Germans seeking to avenge their unfortunate but dramatic defeat to the Red Devils in the last final of the 20th century. A late goal from Man Utd sunk Bayern Munich in the dying seconds of the Champions League final and snatched the trophy from their hands just when it looked more secure with them.

Preparations have been bad for Bayern Munich as the German camp has had to sweat over the fitness of Dutch winger Arjen Robben. Robben picked up an injury to his calf that could weaken the team's attack considerably. The pace and accurate passing has galvanised the club this season and without him in the lineup, manager Louis Van Gaal will have one less option going forward. There could also be more than meets the eye with the situation as the Germans can be rather good at making a meal of an issue where the real extent of the problem can only be known before the match. Robben could yet recover in time to feature against Man United.

Things are much better with the Red Devils. Rio Ferdinand and Wayne Rooney will take their places in the team after the two players were announced to be fit for the match. The Red Devils continued to have their players return from injury with Paul Scholes and Ryan Giggs set to feature against the club they played against in that classic 1999 Champions League final. The two will also be part of Alex Ferguson's plans although they might not start in the MU vs Bayern Munich live streaming online due to age. Whatever the choice the manager makes, it would certainly provide for a spectacle when the clubs step onto the pitch.
